Cherrelle Skeete for Cool America Magazine

This shoot was designed and photographed for a coverage of actor, Cherrelle Skeete, discussing her career and life. This feature can be found in a 2021 edition of Cool America Magazine.

The Story

Working with Cherrelle Skeete was a wonderful opportunity for myself and the team. The location inspired a beautiful nature and neutral-toned set which was reflected by the styling choices. When looking at the colour scheme I wanted to make sure it brought out the skin tone of Cherrelle and allowed her to be the most prominent in the photos. This meant that the background had to have a contrast of lighter tones and occasional dark tones for depth. Finding the right balance to create a striking image was a fun task.
